The creation of the Internet has made possible greater access and exploitation of information from public or open sources (“open source information” or OSIF). Although it is non-confidential information accessible to everyone, its search, compilation, analysis and communication - elements that make up the so-called "intelligence circle" - in time and to a specific audience in order to respond to a need make up a type of intelligence known in English as OSINT (“Open Source Intelligence”) or open source intelligence.
