Ejércitos – Digital Magazine on Defence, Armament and Armed Forces, was born as a website in 2016 with the intention of promoting debate on issues related to defence, the armed forces, military strategy, war technology and, especially, to contribute to the development of Strategic Studies in Spain and Latin America.
A work that we carry out through the publication of objective and rigorous articles and analyses of current national and international defence, trying to always be constructive and present alternatives and recommendations for the future.
The fundamental objective of Ejércitos, beyond presenting to the general public a series of issues to which we believe that in Spain and Latin America the necessary attention is not paid, it involves giving an opportunity to Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate students in International Relations and Strategic Studies.
In this way, in Ejércitos we fight to introduce these same issues on the political agenda and to give visibility to Spanish deficiencies in defence matters, thus contributing to promoting greater public investment in this sector and favouring the development of the defence industry in the country.
In the same way, through our Magazine we allow established professionals, but also future experts, a dissemination that would otherwise be impossible for them to achieve. As a result, we also contribute to generating a critical mass of specialists in Strategic Studies, whose number is currently insufficient.
All of this, without identifying ourselves with any political party or current of thought, since we understand that Strategic Studies have nothing to do with ideology, but rather as the scientific discipline that they are, they obey the dictates of reason, scientific values and the essential rigor.
