To guide you through the process, we have written these brief publishing guidelines, which will serve as your guide.
In this way, if you are a master's student or doctoral student in Strategic Studies or International Relations, send us your articles. The same if you are or have been in the military, you work in companies in the sector or even if you are an amateur who has the desire to write about defense within. Of course, to comply with our publication standards, they must be completely original and must pass an anti-plagiarism check.
Of course, we cannot guarantee that your article will be published, but we will read carefully what you send us and we will evaluate it for inclusion on our website. Furthermore, in Ejércitos We pay for each text - except in the case of opinion articles and reviews - at the exact moment of its publication, with an amount according to its quality and length.
The publication rules are as follows:
- Articles: Writings on strategy, weapons, doctrine, tactics, military, organic technology and, in general, any topic included within the discipline of Strategic Studies. They must be longer than 5.000 words (not including footnotes or bibliography). Files must be sent in Word format. They will include an introduction of about 250-300 words and the bibliography will be placed at the end, in APA 7 format. Notes, if any, should be placed between the text and the bibliography. In addition, the images that the author considers should be used to illustrate the articles will be sent in a separate folder. Both the text of the legend and the source will be included in a Word file, if possible with a link to it. Images must be free of copyright or, where applicable, have explicit permission from the same.
- Conflict: Writings referring to current war or geopolitical issues. They must be between 2.000 and 3.000 words (not including footnotes or bibliography). Files must be sent in Word format. They will include an introduction of about 250-300 words and the bibliography will be placed at the end, in APA 7 format. Notes, if any, should be placed between the text and the bibliography. In addition, the images that the author considers should be used to illustrate the articles will be sent in a separate folder. - Opinion: Writings on any topic that the author considers of interest in relation to the theme of our magazine. In this case the minimum length will be 1.000 words.
- Books: The minimum length will be 50.000 words. They should deal with some of the usual topics of our publication and be of interest to the Strategic Studies community. Images must be free of copyright or, where applicable, have explicit permission from the same. They will be published with our logo through Amazon, which allows for much greater dissemination thanks to our presence on networks.
- Reviews: If you have recently read a work related to Strategic Studies and want to share a summary and your impressions of it with our community, we will be happy to publish it. The length must be greater than 500 words and the bibliographic data of the work must be included.
