Throughout the next few lines we will explain the history of modern armor - defined as that physical static object that actively or passively serves to prevent a projectile from accessing the interior of a vehicle in order to cause damage - and we will take into account, in addition to the technological evolution itself, the strategic impact that the adoption of more capable armor has had. After all, armor not only influences the tactical capabilities of the vehicle in which it is integrated, but also affects its strategic mobility, represents an extra cost that makes the production of said vehicles more expensive and implies certain easements.
