Towards a new wave of foreign terrorist fighters?

Mobilizations of foreign terrorist fighters are not a new phenomenon. International jihadists moved to areas of the Caucasus in the 1990s or fought with Al-Qaeda at the beginning of the 21st century. Recently, the last major experience of waves of terrorists mobilized in foreign lands was carried out by the massive recruitment of Daesh to fight in Iraq and Syria. Now, from Al-Qaeda and Daesh, new calls are being made to transfer the hegira with which to carry out jihad towards Africa. In addition, new actors are involved in promoting the mobilization of international jihadists, such as Hurras al-Tawheed, a group that aims to unite the mujahideen of the West to fight together.
