The reasons why the use of atomic weapons has not become widespread (for the moment)

In August 1945, two atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, since then nuclear weapons have not been used again, which represents a disconcerting fact given the high number of wars in which nuclear powers have been involved since the end of World War II.
