In December 2023, the Spanish Ministry of Defense made public the award, negotiated and without publicity, of the SILAM (High Mobility Launcher System) program. The project has been awarded to the companies EXPAL and Escribano, whose work will be based on the Israeli Lynx/PULS rocket launcher. Thanks to this agreement, both companies will benefit from technological transfers, in search of industrial sovereignty. Despite this, there are several doubts that the SILAM program raises. Some related to the capacity of future launchers and their ammunition. Others with their cost. Questions that we will try to answer in this article.
