On too many occasions we abuse expressions such as "arms race" or "arms race", when referring, for example, to the situation in the Mediterranean and the purchases carried out by states such as Morocco and Algeria: Greece, Türkiye and Egypt. It is something we all fall into - and we are the first - because it is easy to get carried away by the heat of the moment, momentarily forgetting the rigor. The concept of an "arms race", however, attempts to explain a much more complex reality than is believed and, therefore, deserves some in-depth study.
