Djibouti, a small nation located in a strategic enclave. Logistics base, spearhead of military operations against terrorism and piracy, but also much more. In recent years, the importance of Djibouti has grown to become a geoeconomic pillar. The only base of the Chinese army outside its territory is located on Djibouti soil, in a move that makes clear Beijing's interest in this point in the Horn of Africa that gives entrance to the Bab al-Mandeb Strait and the commercial, gas route. and oil from the Suez Canal, but also to the rest of the African continent. And its importance is such that China has introduced this small republic in its Maritime Silk Road project. Something that has aroused the suspicions of other powers, such as the US, India or Japan, among others, with interests also in Djibouti, and much beyond.
