Morocco, unilaterally, has approved two laws that resolve the expansion of its territorial waters and its Exclusive Economic Zone and declare the continental shelf up to 350 miles. The Moroccan project, invalid in the eyes of international legality, seeks to gain control of a strategic area that includes, among others, the tellurium and cobalt deposits of Mount Tropic. Spain cannot and should not sit idly by in the face of Rabat's attitude.
