Turkey, with its weapons and soldiers, and Qatar with its petrodollars, support the GNA, whose capital is Tripoli. For their part, Russia, Egypt, France, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan support the LNA, with its capital in Tobruk.

Last spring the LNA had only one alternative: lift the siege of Tripoli. In fact, pressure from the GNA and Turkish drones ended up forcing General Haftar to withdraw from the entire Tripolitania region.
