Shipbuilding in the Russian Federation (II)
The fall of the Soviet Union led to tectonic changes in the international arena. Not in vain did a State disappear in a matter of days that in less than a century of existence had achieved superpower status, achieved influence on a global scale and built Armed Forces capable of operating throughout the world. Furthermore, it was a leading industrial power, also in the naval field, causing its implosion to create a void that the surviving Russian shipyards have never been able to fill. Thus, despite efforts to reorganize and increase production, shipbuilding in the Russian Federation continues to face enormous challenges and suffer from important shortcomings, which deserve to be analyzed.
