Conflicts such as those in Syria or Libya have once again brought to the fore the role of air defense systems of Russian/Soviet origin and, in the process, have renewed the interest of many potential clients. Furthermore, cases such as Turkey, country that is already a user of the S400 Triumph (which has cost it to be removed from the JSF F-35 program), have only given even greater prominence to these systems. Along these lines we will try to explain the reason for the various variants, their integration within the air defense in Russia and also delve into a specific system, the S300VM "Antey 2500".
