The future that does not arrive

The Spanish Armed Forces, far from following the trend of a good part of our partners, who have firmly opted for MRE-type military rations (Ready-to-Eat) or FSR (First Strike Ration), keep the traditional “bricks” in service. Little by little, however, the Ministry of Defense is giving a chance to new formats, such as the RED (Rations of Displaced Personnel) or the RIL (Light Intervention Ration), all of them manufactured by the UTE Raciones de Combate España, formed by JOMIPSA, Teógenes Ruiz, S.L. and Alonso Hipercas, S.A. Throughout the next few lines we will analyze both the main rations in service in Spain and the possible alternatives. After all, Spanish manufacturers are far ahead of political and military decision-makers.
