The evolution of military rifle ammunition seems to have been stagnant for decades. The successive urgent media acquisition programs in 7,62×51 show us that the perception of need is becoming widespread, while in specialized circles it is increasingly evident that the 5,56×45 has reached the end of its capacity of growth. Especially if it is put in relation to advances in optics and stabilization.
