An affair of State

The relationship between the Navy and the public company Navantia is the story of two entities condemned to understand each other. With no market other than the production of military ships, and given the international competition in the sector, the Navy is responsible for supporting and defending the shipyard designs. No matter how much military needs point in another direction, any current or future government will use the FAS as an excuse to support a business model that would require a profound reconversion, but that no one, due to the social cost and political wear and tear that it entails, is going to attack. Once this idea is assumed, it is time to adapt so that its impact on military capabilities is positive.
