Contraofensiva Izyum-Kupyansk (06/09/2022-15/09/2022)

Between September 6 and 13, 2022, the ZSU (Zbroini syly Ukrainy-Ukrainian Armed Forces) executed an ambitious counteroffensive maneuver against the western flank of the Russian projection at Izyum-Kupyansk in Kharkiv Oblast. This offensive allowed Ukrainian forces to advance from the Donets River to the Oskil River, recovering in the process a strip of territory the size of the island of Cyprus.[1], capturing countless Russian material and at the same time, taking hundreds of prisoners and causing hundreds of casualties that were difficult to replace in the VSRF's order of battle. (Vooruzhonniye sily Rossiyskoy Federation-Armed Forces of the Russian Federation).
