Infinite resources, uneven results

For decades, the main Middle Eastern countries have invested enormous resources in providing their armed forces with the most modern equipment, mostly acquired abroad. More recently, they have chosen to sign technology transfer agreements with which to boost their own defense industry. The results to date have been uneven. In the medium term, however, several of the protagonists of this article could become international references, at least in specific sectors. Some, like Türkiye, already are.
