Review of the Egyptian forces on July 21, 1977

To understand the small conflict between Egypt and Libya that occurred during the summer of 1.977, we must look for its roots in the confrontations that the Arab countries had with the newly created State of Israel since the late 40s. After the Yom Kippur War (for the Jews) or October War (for the Egyptians), in 1.973, the President of Egypt, Anwar el-Sadat, began a timid approach towards Israel and therefore its main ally, the United States. This attitude began to raise suspicions among Arab countries, especially with neighboring Libya. Colonel Muammar Gaddafi undertook a series of speeches in various forums, which dealt with the alleged aid, both economic and military, generously donated by the Libyan people to the Egyptian State to fight against the Zionist enemy.
