The return of high-intensity, industrial-scale war, as demonstrated by what happened in Ukraine, is a reality. Adapting to it involves putting aside concepts that, although useful for low-intensity scenarios, are not at all useful in the new scenario, and implies recovering large units, such as the Division and the Army Corps, essential to operate with success in an environment that is also multidomain. Beyond doctrinal changes and technological adaptations, in the case of the Cavalry, fulfilling its traditional tasks in this new context implies the return of divisional cavalry.
