The battle for CIMIC House, the name under which it has gone down in the history books, was fought between August 5 and 28, 2004 in the city of al Amarah, in southern Iraq. It involved the followers of Muqtada al-Sadr and British troops, who fought hard to confront the furious attacks of the Mahdi's army.
