At the antipodes of Spain

The Royal Australian Navy owes a lot to Spain. Some of its most important ships, from the Canberra class LHDs to the Hobart destroyers or its new Supply class AORs, are designs by the Spanish Navantia. However, and despite this, Australia seems to us Spaniards to be a distant and remote nation; it is not in vain that it is the furthest point on land from our own country in this sphere, flattened by the poles, which is the Earth. This perception is very true in the military field, given the seriousness with which Australia plans its defense, especially in the naval section. Perhaps for this reason, the Royal Australian Navy is, today, a project, in terms of ambition and resources, located at the antipodes of the Spanish one.
