Algeria in 2023: does crisis mean change?

Last year, the specter of war returned to the European continent, even if it was at the border level. Most countries in the European Union have had to add the Ukrainian War and its consequences to the political equation. However, concepts such as conflict, rivalry and competition are at both ends of the continent, both on the so-called eastern flank and on the southern flank. This analysis of the situation and the main political-economic trends in Algeria this year seeks to bring our readers closer to the reality of our neighbor and how recent events such as the Covid-19 pandemic, the War in Ukraine and the consequences derived from both, both internally and in its foreign policy.
