There are too many myths circulating about Russian strategy. When interpreting Russia's strategic and military behavior, Western analysts unfamiliar with Russian strategic thinking, when trying to understand and explain that country's actions, resort to labels and concepts that normally have little or nothing to do with the concepts handled in Russia. To add more confusion, when they use terms and labels that are used in the texts and speeches of Russian thinkers and strategists, in most cases an interpretation is made that does not correspond to what these authors are trying to say, distorting them. partially to make them fit with the parameters of Western strategic and defense studies.
