Ediciones Encuentro has published in Spanish the set of essays, written by the French philosopher Jean Guitton between the 40s and 60s of the last century and collected in its original French edition of 1969 under the title “Thought and War.” This Spanish edition, which is in turn based on another French one published a couple of years ago, far from collecting only the essays - cycles of conferences, rather -, has interesting prologues for each of its chapters, written by prominent French officers. The comments, which significantly increase their value, help to clarify Guitton's ideas for those who, like the person who writes, are not accustomed to the particular philosophical language.
