Past, present and future?

The scheduled withdrawal of the Navy's 'Harrier' aircraft has brought this weapons system back to the present day, as well as its possible replacement, and even the plausible alternatives to maintain Naval Aviation in Spain, an essential operational capacity. The first thing we must elucidate is what type of naval aviation we intend to have, what missions it can perform and which ones we are going to demand from it, by virtue of which we decide, always with an eye on budgetary limitations, which model best suits our needs. With this in mind, we can review the different options and technologies available on the market, the solutions adopted by other countries (although their needs may not coincide with ours) and the limitations that we can assume, or not, to the time to set up a credible air-naval force.
