In the history of military literature and science, there are many treatises that have occupied a place of honor, from ancient times to our times. Of all of them, the vast majority are nothing more than more or less successful collections of principles or maxims, almost always a reflection of the eventful military life of their author, usually a commander of some army. Here we can cite Caesar or Napoleon, but also Gustavus Adolphus or Sun-Tzu himself.
