On March 2, Boeing Australia and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) successfully completed the first test flight of the Loyal Wingman. This is a pioneering project and the first military aircraft designed and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years. Its reason for being is to test the integration between manned and unmanned devices. As Boeing itself explains, due to "the integration of autonomous systems and artificial intelligence to create intelligent teams of humans and machines.
