The Russian Air Force, like the rest of the branches of the Russian Armed Forces and perhaps even to a greater extent, due to the sophistication of its equipment and the complex maintenance it requires, has suffered unspeakably in recent years to remain the second in capabilities worldwide, only behind the USAF. Only now, thanks to various modernization programs and the development of new models, does it seem to be closer to its objective and scenarios such as Syria have served to demonstrate this recovery. However, industrial and economic problems persist and force us to be cautious, especially when assessing the future of our star programs.
