“Dig the well before you are thirsty,” says a Chinese proverb. The Asian giant seems to have taken good note of its present and future economic needs. And he has launched a spectacular megaproject, known as the New Silk Road, in order to maintain its high growth rates and prevent its economy from being strangled by a lack of planning. Few doubt that the commercial expansion supported by this initiative will lead to geopolitical consequences.
