Army Number 6 – Digital Magazine of Armament, Defense and Armed Forces, is a monographic issue dedicated to armored vehicles and mechanized and armored warfare. The number of articles may be surprising, just five, but the total length is similar to that of the rest of the issues, since we treat each topic in even greater depth than usual.

We start with an article by Guillermo Pulido in which he explains what the multi-domain battlefield consists of and what the new character of war is. An increasingly complex war that will require new and fascinating military programmes, such as those being developed by the US Army and described here.

With the help of Roberto Gutiérrez and Yago Rodríguez we address a fascinating topic: the future of battle tanks. Furthermore, we do it as it should be done, without a priori, from opposing positions and encouraging debate. Both authors have radically different opinions and that can only benefit the reader.

Cavalry Colonel (r) Francisco P. Fernández Mateos, for his part, explains to us what are the characteristics that make battle tanks what they are: mobility, protection and firepower. Three qualities that only serve if they maintain a certain balance between themselves…

Lastly, and also with the help of Colonel Fernández Mateos, we make an extensive review of the armoured vehicle market, the models in use in the main armies and the market situation, including the programmes currently underway.
